There is nothing quite so important as an education, and we are proud to organize and administer scholarship programs for deserving students from throughout our six-county area.
Our donors believe in the power of education and have chosen to make a difference by helping deserving students pursue their dreams of higher education. We have multiple scholarship funds established by donors so youth across our region can improve their lives and ultimately our community by continuing their education.
Most of the scholarships managed by the Community Foundation are available for students who will graduate from high school in the spring of the current year and plan to continue their education in the fall, and we will welcome and consider all applications.
Asama Coldwater Manufacturing (ACM) Georgia Scholarship
The Asama Coldwater Manufacturing (ACM) Georgia Scholarship awards scholarships to graduates of a Warren County high school (current year or Previous). Eligible career paths include programs in or directly related to manufacturing, technology, engineering, or business.

- Applicant is a graduating senior of a Warren County high school (current year or Previous)
- Applicant completed high school with a minimum GPA of 2.80
- The availability of other financial assistance, grants, and/or scholarships to the Applicants will be considered. Preference will to made to applicants who are not likely to have other assistance
- Applicant acceptance or attendance at an accredited secondary education institution, including trade schools, technical colleges and community colleges, colleges, and universities
- The applicant’s level of motivation, effort, and diligence in the pursuit of further education as demonstrated in a personal letter stating goals will be considered

Alex Newton Scholarship
Established to honor Alex Newton, the purpose of this Scholarship Fund is to assist eligible students in Burke, Columbia, McDuffie, Richmond, or Warren County to continue their pursuit of secondary education in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field at Augusta Technical College.

Eligible Career Paths: Any Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field at Augusta Technical College

- The applicant shall be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours) at Augusta Technical College

Charlie C. Turman Scholarship
The purpose of the Charlie C. Turman Scholarship Program is to assist eligible students in McDuffie and Warren counties, to continue their pursuit of a secondary education in HVAC, mechanical, or agriculture/agribusiness at a trade school or technical school and to honor Mr. Charlie C. Turman.

Kiwanis Club of Augusta Scholarship
The Kiwanis Club of Augusta Scholarship was established to assist local students who reside in the vicinity of Augusta, Georgia (in Richmond, Columbia, Burke, or Aiken county only) in securing post high school level education. Scholarships are available for those enrolling or currently attending Augusta University, and whose field of study, or career goals and plans impact the health care of children.

Scholarship Amount: Up to $2,000 for one academic year
Eligible Career Paths: Any academic program or field of study, or one’s career goals or plans must impact or will be involved in the health care of children.

Ruth F. Wallace Scholarship
Established to honor Mrs. Ruth F. Wallace, the purpose of this Scholarship Fund is to assist eligible students in McDuffie County, specifically Thomson High School graduates, to continue their pursuit of secondary education.

Sam Tyson Eagle Scout Scholarship
The Sam Tyson Eagle Scout Scholarship Fund was established by the Augusta Kiwanis Club in honor of former member Sam Tyson whose desire was to see youth become productive citizens. The scholarship is available for all Eagle Scouts who completed the Eagle Rank in the Georgia-Carolina Council.

The Sandra Waller Neville Endowed Scholarship
The Sandra Waller Neville Memorial Endowment offers this scholarship to one Augusta University senior dental hygiene student who meets the requirements below. The scholarship amount is $1000 to be used for tuition* or other educational-related expenses associated with pursuing a dental hygiene degree.

Application Requirements:
- Must currently be enrolled at Augusta University
- Must be in last year of dental hygiene undergraduate program with plans to graduate the following May
- Must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in all dental hygiene coursework at Augusta University
- Must include with the application a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, a mentor, or someone within the community other than a family member
- Must be a resident of Georgia or South Carolina residing in the CSRA, including Wilkes, Burke, Lincoln, McDuffie, Warren, Glasscock, Jefferson, Richmond and Columbia counties in Georgia and Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina

FAQs
A: Our scholarship funds support a diverse range of students. The majority serve high school students about to graduate; however, some do benefit students enrolled in colleges or universities.
A: Individual scholarship awards vary, but most range in size from $500- $2000.
A: Many of our scholarships are specialized for students graduating from particular schools or pursuing specific career paths. They are not usually extremely competitive.
A: Each scholarship fund has its own unique selection committee. The Community Foundation processes the applications to provide to the committees for review.
A: Students must apply online using our new online Scholarship Portal.
- Each of our scholarship processes has different criteria and eligibility requirements. Selecting the Preview Button will allow them to view the application and additional information regarding each available scholarship.
- If they chose to apply for one of the scholarships, they MUST create an account before filling out the application for the information to save. This is done by clicking the “Log On / Create an Account to Apply” button in the top right-hand corner.
- From there, they will be taken to the Logon Page, where they will select Create New Account.
- Once they enter all personal information and click Create Account, they will be taken to an Email Confirmation page to confirm they are receiving emails from our system.
- When accessing the system for the first time, they will land on the Apply Page. This page will show all open opportunities as well as any relevant deadlines and other applicable information.
A: For Students:
- Students will send an email to their guidance counselor from within the scholarship application requesting a transcript.
- Student's will do the same for the individual chosen to write their letter of recommendation.
A: For Counselors / Character References:
- Students will send an email from within their application to request a transcript and/or letter of recommendation. A total of two messages will be sent: one personal message from the student with their request and one system-generated message containing a link to the student's application. This email will come from Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area administrator@grantinterface.com.
- Follow the link to view which document(s) the student requested.
- Upload and submit document(s) to complete the student's application packet.
